Elizabeth E. Haynie, 88, of the 1200 block of Cedar Mill Square, died Dec. 14, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Haynie, the widow of Howard Dudley Haynie Sr., was a Methodist. She was a self-employed restaurant owner and a native of Virginia.
Survivors include a son, Howard Dudley Haynie Jr., and his wife, Virginia, of Portsmouth; a granddaughter, Tera Haynie of Chesapeake; a grandson, Mark Haynie of Portsmouth; a great-granddaughter, Sparrow Elizabeth Haynie of Chesapeake; and special friend, Bessie Sparrow of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lively, Va., by the Rev. Larry Adams. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
