Cora Peele Hollowell, 89, of Route 1, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1995, in Britthaven Nursing Home, Edenton.
Mrs. Hollowell was born in Chowan County. The daughter of the late George and Mrs. Margaret Harrell Peele, she was a homemaker and a member of Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Ralph K. Hollowell Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph K. Hollowell Jr. of Suffolk and Stuart Hollowell of Panama City, Fla; two sisters, Alethia Hollowell of Corapeake and Ethel Privott of Edenton; a half-sister, Mary Lou Belch of Edenton; a half-brother, Clinton Peele of Edenton; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Green and the Rev. Ralph Knight. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge of arrangements. The family will assemble at the church at 1:30 p.m. Friends may join the family following the service in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church, Route 1, Tyner, N.C. 27980.
