Ella Georgia Houchins, 93, of 1426 Lake Meade Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 13, 1995, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Nursing Center.
Mrs. Houchins was born in Broadford, Va., and before moving to Suffolk, made her home in Virginia Beach for many years. She was a charter member of Community United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, and joined Magnolia United Methodist Church after moving to Suffolk.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Jean Houchins of Suffolk; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon today in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Clyde Nuckols. R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
