Elwood Murray Beasley Jr., 70, of the 8200 block of Gygax Road, died Dec. 13, 1995.
He was retired from the civil service and a native of Norfolk. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Josephine Beasley; daughter, Phyllis Casey of Virginia Beach; two sons, Elwood M. Beasley III and Steven M. Beasley, both of Norfolk; sister, Annie Idona Smith of Norfolk; two brothers, Walter D. Beasley and David E. Beasley of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday by Pastor Charles W. Hubbard Jr. in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
