GLADYS B. SPIVEY

Gladys Bagley Spivey, 83, died Dec. 13, 1995, in Portsmouth.

She was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a native of Chapanoke, N.C. She was the widow of George Judson Spivey and a member of Cradock United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. She was a member of Victory Chapter (NU)16 O.E.S.; Women's Club of Cradock; Beazley Senior Center, Portsmouth; and First Senior Citizens Club and Niners Senior Citizens Club, both of Chesapeake.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Joyce England of Portsmouth; four sisters, Sallie B. Cohn, Mildred B. McCloud, Catherine B. Carlile and Jean B. Moon, all of Chesapeake; three brothers, James E. Bagley and Robert G. Bagley, both of Chesapeake, and John Frank Bagley of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday by the Rev. Michael Robbins in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will be at the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
