Mary Magdeline Hill, 78, departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1995.
She was a native of Norfolk and had been a Newport News resident for four years. Mrs. Hill was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Franklin County to Met White and Josephine Coppedge. She was a member of Abundant Life Christian Church and the widow of Robert E. Hill. She leaves to mourn, her sister, Mable Harris of Rocky Mount, N.C.; her daughter, Barbara D. Minix of Newport News; four grandchildren, Vida Renee Hill, Anthony DePaul Hill, Joseph C. Artis Jr., and Katrina L. Minix; six great-grandchildren, Michael Hill, Shannon Hill, Marie Hill, Jasmine Hill, Cody Williams, and Trineen Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many, friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in the chapel of Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, by the Pastor Donnie Small. Burial will follow in Roosevelt Cemetery. The family will receive friends until 3 p.m. directly after the services at 1205 Marge Drive in Chesapeake. Viewing will begin today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
