Katherine Ellis Olson, 87, of Windermere Nursing Home, died Dec. 13, 1995, in her residence.
She was a former resident of First Colonial Inn in Virginia Beach. She was a native of Endever, Wisc., and the widow of George T. Olson. Mrs. Olson was a member of Virginia Beach Christian Church and the Elks Lodge in Arizona.
She is survived by a daughter, Harriett Spillane, and her husband, John, of Virginia Beach; son, George T. Olson II, and his wife, Barbara, of Sewickley, Pa.; sister-in-law, Rose Ellis Groover of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren, Katherine Garofalo and her husband, Richard, of Virginia Beach, John D. Spillane and his wife, Kathleen, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Thomas O. Spillane and his wife, Jill, of Virginia Beach, James Olson and his wife, Stephanie, of Los Angeles, Calif., Krista Olson of Washington, D.C., and Paul Engel of Hampton; three great-grandchildren, James Harvie, Jacob Garofalo and Jeffrey Garofalo, all of Virginia Beach; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by Dr. William E. Austin in Virginia Beach Christian Church. Burial is in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
