Olma Evelyn Bedwell, 84, of the Cradock area of Portsmouth, died Dec. 14, 1995.
She was a native of Floyd County, Va., and was the widow of Cmdr. Paul Bedwell of the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Bedwell was a member of Cradock Baptist Church and the Cradock Womens Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Alma B. Mizell of Salisbury, Md.; three grandchildren, David Paul Mizell, Wayne Franklin Mizell, and Stephen Mizell of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving child of her parents, James Montgomery and Ola Sisson McNeil. She had nine siblings.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by Dr. David R. Denny in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Monday at noon.
