WAINWRIGHT RICHARDSON

Wainwright Richardson, 63 passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 1995.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Richardson Jr. of Richmond. He was an active member of the Commonwealth Club and the Westwood Racquet Club, of which he was president in 1985. He graduated from St. Christophers in 1950, where he played football and basketball. He graduated from University of Virginia in 1954 and was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. He was a member of U.Va. Varsity basketball team and a member of the track and field team where he lettered for the broad jump. From 1954 to 1957, he was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was an avid saltwater fisherman and especially enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay.

He is survived by his two brothers, Charles Edward Richardson III and John North Richardson, both of Richmond. He is also survived by his aunt, Mrs. Alese Richardson Melton and his uncle, George Lynwood Richardson. His children include, Mr. and Mrs. William Turner Richardson of Virginia Beach, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wainwright Richardson of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Mary Wall Richardson Hood of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Ann Wainwright Richardson Bostic of Charlottesville, Va.; stepson, Mark Andrew Maddox of Providence Forge; and four grandchildren from Tampa.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be sent to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Annapolis, Md.
