TERRY MURPHY

Terry Murphy, a native of Columbus, Ohio, died Dec. 16, 1995, in her residence.

She was the widow of Donald R. Murphy and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She attended Capital University in Columbus. She retired as sales manager for Avon Products, Inc. She was a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine, Thea Court, Columbus, and a member of Zulekia Court, Norfolk, where she was Court Musician for many years. She was a member of Royal Order of Jesterettes; Scottish Rite Ladies; Norfolk Ladies Shrine Club; and she was past president of both the Columbus, Ohio, and Portsmouth Business and Professional Womens Clubs. She was also a musician for the Woman's Club of Portsmouth and a member of Portsmouth Music Study Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Kelly of Chesapeake; granddaughters, Lisa Kelly of Charlottesville, Linda Kelly of Annandale, Va., Lori Kelly of Portsmouth; and two brothers, Kenneth V. Knight of Woodland Hills, Calif., Harold E. Knight of Cincinnati. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles M. Knight and Gerald E. Knight.

Funeral services will be conducted in Snellings Funeral Home, Chruchland Chapel, Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Donald H. Seely and the Rev. Celeste Heath. Burial is in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service on Monday. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Fund.
