Jennie Elizabeth Ward Edwards, 93, formerly of Norfolk, died Dec. 15, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
She was a native of Bohannon, Va. and was the widow of Willard Mallory Edwards. She was a member of Glenwood Park Presbyterian Church where she was past president of the Women of the Church. She was also past president of the Glenwood Park Garden Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Elizabeth Jack of Wilmington, Del.; son, Willard Mallory Edwards Jr. of Palatka, Fla.; four sisters, Kathryn Fuller of Hickory, N.C., Louise Hughes of Mobjack, Va., Madeline Smith of Largo, Fla., Inez Smith of Mobjack; and six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Samuel D. Austin in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, two hours prior to the graveside service.
