Benjamin Lee Allen Sr. of the 1400 block of Indian River Road, died Dec. 16, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Allen was retired as the owner of a store and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Elks Lodge (NU)12 and Eureka Lodge of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Allen; a daughter, Josephine Allen and a son, Bennie Allen Jr., both of Norfolk; two sisters, Alexina Snipes of Norfolk and Gladys Higginbotham of Baltimore; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Morning Star Holiness Church by the Rev. Johnny Felton. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
