Aldah Butler Grimes, 81, formerly of Portsmouth, died Dec. 17, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
She was the widow of William D. ``Sonny'' Grimes.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth J. Stubbs of Virginia Beach; two sons, William D. Grimes Jr. of Virginia Beach and Bernard R. Grimes of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, with the Rev. Damon Wyatt presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
