Betty Bishop Smith, 66, of the 5600 block of N. Greenefield Drive, a homemaker, died Dec. 16, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Portsmouth. She was a member of Greenlakes Baptist Church and the Ruth Bible Class and was a former teacher in the children's Sunday School.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Ellsworth Smith; two daughters, Valerie Smith Warren and Stacey Smith Moore, both of Chesapeake; a son, David C. Smith of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; and an aunt, Gertie Wood of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by the Rev. Ronald Eason. Burial will be in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight. The family suggests memorial contributions to Greenlakes Baptist Church.
