Linwood Gordon Stallings Sr., 76, of the 4600 block of Wake Forest Road, died Dec. 16, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Stallings retired as a shop planner for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 21 years and was a former owner and operator of Portsmouth Heating & Airconditioning. He was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church; America Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148; past patron of Fellowship Chapter (NU)140 OES and present associate patron. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post (NU)37.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Lee Stallings; a daughter, Faye S. Baggett of Chesapeake; a son, Linwood G. Stallings Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Audrey S. Venable of Chesapeake; three brothers, Gerald S. Stallings and Vernon H. Stallings, both of Portsmouth, and E. Warren Stallings of Bracey, Va.; and two grandsons, Aaron L. Stallings and Kevin V. Baggett.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by Dr. Albert A. Peverall Jr. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the funeral home with visitation to follow.
