MARGARET B. TURNER

Mrs. Margaret Bateman Turner, 83, of the 1100 block of Weeksville Road, died Monday, Dec. 18, 1995, at Winslow Memorial Home.

She was a native of Pasquotank County and a member of Newbegun United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Leondious B. and Margaret Corbett Bateman and wife of the late W. Arthur Turner.

Survivors include four sisters, Beulah James, Martha Bateman and Dorothy Pritchard, all of Elizabeth City, Marjorie Freeman of Grandy; and two brothers, L.B. Bateman Jr. and Kenneth Bateman, both of Elizabeth City.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Formo officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bateman, 1284 Davis Bay Road, Elizabeth City. Twiford's Memorial Chapel is in charge.
