M. Margaret Lane Powell, 74, died Dec. 16, 1995.
Mrs. Powell was born in Dover, N.C., and was the widow of Jack N. Powell.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette P. McLendon of Norfolk; two sons, Fred B. Powell and his wife Janet of Slippery Rock, Pa., and John P. Powell and his wife Janice of Sterling, Va.; eight grandchildren, JoAnne, Gregory, Derek, Justin, Rachel, Sarah, Liam and Shayln; and two great-grandchildren, Hayley and Savannah.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Max G. Culler. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
