GRACE H. BRINKLEY

Grace H. Brinkley, 61, of the 1100 block of Horne Ave., died Dec. 16, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.

She was a native of Portsmouth and a member and former usher of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Portsmouth. She was a member and past matron of Mt. Hermon Chapter (NU)19, Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Michelle White and Lori B. Norfleet, both of Portsmouth; two sons, Melvin Brinkley Jr. and Grayling Brinkley, both of Portsmouth; sister, Geraldine Sorrell of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; in-laws, and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
