Kenneth G. Orriss, 74, of the 3900 block of Thalia Drive, died Dec. 18, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Orriss was born in Union City, N.J., and formerly resided in Mountain Lakes, N.J. He was the son of the late William T.J. Orriss and Mabelle Reynolds Orriss.
He originally was an industrial engineer for American Bosch Arma Corp. in Brooklyn, N.Y., from 1939 to 1963. Mr. Orriss worked in conjunction with numerous projects, including the Titan-3 missle program. Locally, Mr. Orriss worked as an estimator and planner for QED systems and retired in 1985. He was a member of the Society of American Managers; life member of the National Congress of parents and teachers; and a member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church of Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Richard of Colts Neck, N.J., Robert of Denville, N.J., Dale of Montville, N.J., and Kathi of Allentown, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Willowwood Presbyterian Church, 1715 Willowwood Drive, Norfolk, Thursday between 7 and 9 p.m. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Frank E. Drake presiding. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Willowwood Presbyterian Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
