Agnes Spence King, 93, of the 5200 block of Sweetbriar Circle, formerly of Ft. Nelson Towers, died Dec. 19, 1995, in Chesapeake.
She was a former teacher at Ann Street School where she was employed for 15 years. She was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of William Irwin King. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Agnes Rebecca King. She is survived by her sister, Ethel M. Spence of Chesapeake; two nieces, Virginia B. Weedon of Portsmouth, Barbara Caffee LaTrobe of Baltimore; three nephews, George E. Caffee III of Baltimore, Basil L. Jackson Jr. of Bluefield, W.Va., John W. Buxon of Easton, Md.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Dr. Robert V. Forehand in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of her niece, Mrs. Virginia Weedon, 5223 Sweetbriar Circle, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to her church, or to a charity of choice.
