Betty Ann Sawyer, 51, of the 1000 block of Seaboard Ave., died Dec. 19, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Sawyer was born in Norfolk and was a companion worker for the City of Chesapeake. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church of Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Darrel L. Sawyer; two daughters, Anita M. Cowan of Carterville, Ill., and Patricia A. Matthews of Chesapeake; four sons, Jerry C. Sellers Jr., Michael W. Sellers, Danny R. Sawyer, and William L. Sawyer, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mary Fish of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Peggy Price of Chesapeake; five brothers, Jimmy Barker of Norfolk, Billy Barker, Donnie Barker, Nunior Barker, all of Chesapeake, and Jack Barker of Florida; and eight grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by Pastor Arthur Ray Slye in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
