Wilbert W. Nickerson, 63, died Dec. 17, 1995, in Baltimore.
He was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Navy and was currently employed with Dresser-Rand Co. as a shop superintendent. Mr. Nickerson was a native of Everett, Mass., and was a Protestant. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of Korea and Vietnam; member of Fleet Reserve Association, Branch (NU)99; U.S.S. Strong Assoc.; and the Edenton Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Gray Nickerson; daughter, Laure Nickerson-Haddock of Chesapeake; two sons, Richard W. Nickerson of Fairfax, Va., Christopher M. Nickerson of Norfolk; four sisters, Dorothy McIsaac of Lynn, Mass., Louise McAskill of Wauchula, Fla., Anna Blomster of Peabody, Mass., Joan Russell of Danvers, Mass; and three brothers, Robert Nickerson of Billerica, Mass., Ronald Nickerson of Sahuarita, Ariz., William Nickerson of Tynesboro, Mass.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by Chaplain William R. May in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. A Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will remain to receive friends until 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity in Mr. Nickerson's name.
