ROBERT BROOKS

Robert Brooks, 85, of the 1100 block of Barrs Road, Burton Station, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Brooks, a native of Enfield, N.C., was the son of Silas and Mattie Bell Brooks. He was the widower of Eula Collins Brooks and a member of the old Oak Grove Baptist Church, formerly located in Burton Station. He had been self-employed and sold produce to Farm Fresh and Value Fair supermarkets.

He is survived by a devoted nephew, Willie D. Martin Sr. and a loving niece, the Rev. Joyce K. Martin and their two sons, Willie Jr. and Patrick K. Martin. He was predeceased by a sister, Pearl B. Martin.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Olive Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Joyce K. Martin. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at 3632 Pamlico Circle, Norfolk.
