James Copeland of the 1100 block of Hoover Ave., a retired mechanic for longshoremen, died Dec. 17, 1995, in a local hospital.
He was born in Winfall, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Copeland; his ``favorite niece,'' Brenda Jones; cousins, Audrey L. Johnson and Jesse W. Copeland Jr.; a sister-in-law, Maggie Artis; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Graves Funeral Home by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at 300 Petunia Path, Chesapeake, the day of the service.
