The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Hampton Roads will have a 25th Anniversary Gala Celebration next spring to honor all the folks who have helped to change the lives of children in South Hampton Roads.
As part of the celebration, a ``Wall of Love'' will be displayed in each Hampton Road city for all former and current ``bigs'' and ``littles'' to sign. The ``Walls of Love'' will then be joined together and displayed at the event.
The celebration will feature a celebrity speaker, entertainment and a dinner.
Former ``littles'' are invited to attend and pay tribute to their ``bigs.''
``We would like this occasion to be a reunion of bigs and littles who may not have seen each other for many years,'' said Peter S. Viele, executive director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of South Hampton Roads.
``And we would like all bigs and littles to help us celebrate, because without these mentors, these children would not have had the unique opportunity to enjoy life experiences which have helped them to grow into successful adults themselves.''
A definite date for the celebration has not been set.
