MARSHALL D. DOUGH

Marshall Davana ``Dick'' Dough, 73, of Route 1 N. Spot Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C.

He was a retired carpenter for the Virginia Beach School System, and a retired bridge tender for the Virginia Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Dough was born in Creeds, Va., and was the son of the late John Marshall and Hilda Bruce Dough.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Capps Dough of Powells Point; a daughter, Bessie L. Wells of Woolwine, Va.; two sons, John M. Dough of Virginia Beach, and Joseph Dough of Gibbs Woods, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Marian Roebuck of Norfolk and Elaine Cremeans of Powells Point; a stepson, Billy Hopkins of Rice Lake, Wis.; three sisters, Dorothy Dough of Virginia Beach, Rachel Smith of Moyock, N.C., and Edith D. Thompson of Newport News; two brothers, Warren Dough of Virginia Beach; and Donald Dough of Redmond, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at Indian Creek Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Saturday, Dec. 23, 1995, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David Crawford. Burial will follow in the Bruce Family Cemetery, Creeds. The family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at the residence. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Indian Creek Baptist Church, 1221 Indian Creek Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
