MAN DIES OF INJURIES SUFFERED IN APPARENT BURGLARY IN NORFOLK

A man who fell at least 30 feet through a warehouse roof during an apparent burglary attempt Tuesday died from his injuries late Wednesday, police spokesman Larry Hill reported.

Allen A. Fulcher, 19, suffered severe head injuries when he fell onto the concrete floor of the DunMar Moving Systems Storage Warehouse Tuesday night.

A burglar alarm directed police to the warehouse, in the 100 block of S. Military Highway.

They first found everything intact, but later received an anonymous phone call from a Newton Road-area 7-Eleven that someone was injured inside.

Fulcher, who had no listed home address, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died.

On Wednesday, police released a photograph taken by the 7-Eleven's surveillance camera of two suspects who made the call.

Later Wednesday night two men allegedly connected with the crime turned themselves in, Hill said.

They were identified as Robert M. Neal, 25, of the 100 block of Lucas Ave., and Ernest J. Neal, 29, of the 800 block of Bethel Road in Chesapeake.

One of the suspects was pictured in the security camera photograph. Hill did not know which.

Both were charged with burglary with intent to commit larceny and possession of burglary tools.
