Aldine Scott Beale, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1995, at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Beale was the widow of George Floyd Beale. Educated in Franklin, she was a graduate of the State Teacher's College in Farmville, Va. She taught school in both Virginia and North Carolina, worked for the U.S. Government in Washington, and was a house mother at Women's College of the University of North Carolina, Greenville. She had been a resident of the Village at Woods Edge, Franklin, until recently.
Mrs. Beale is survived by two sons, Robert Scott Beale of Suffolk and Donald Keith Beale of Jacksonville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin by the Rev. Ken Thames of Bethel Friends Meeting. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Rd., Franklin, Va. 23851 or a favorite charity.
