ACLU: CAPITOL CRECHE HAS SET A PRECEDENT

The American Civil Liberties Union said Friday that by allowing a woman to place a Nativity scene in the Capitol, state officials have created a forum for other forms of expression.

Senate and House clerks on Thursday allowed a woman to place a creche in the Capitol entrance.

Kent Willis, state executive director of the ACLU, wrote that it will now encourage other groups to place signs, statues or other displays at the statehouse. by CNB
