Police arrested a 25-year-old Norfolk man Thursday night and charged him with the Dec. 11 fatal shooting of a man on Omohundro Avenue.
Melvin L. Perry of the 300 block of W. 31st St. was taken into custody by two homicide detectives. He was charged with murder.
Police believe Perry shot Larry E. Stegall, 27, of the 1500 block of 40th St. The shooting, police believe, occurred during an argument at a residence in the 2700 block of Omohundro Ave. shortly after 8 p.m.
