CRIME LINE

Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:

NORFOLK

Three 7-Eleven stores have been robbed in December by the same man.

The most recent robbery occurred just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 12 at the 7-Eleven in the 3200 block of Chesapeake Blvd. The other two robberies were on Dec. 10 in the 900 block of E. Ocean View Ave. and the 8800 block of E. Little Creek Road.

The suspect is described as black, in his mid-20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was armed with a small-caliber handgun.

On Nov. 29, about 10:30 p.m., a 22-year-old Norfolk man was jogging in the 900 block of Jamestown Crescent when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim suffered head injuries. A witness described the vehicle as a white minivan and said the driver got out and talked to the man who had been hit. But the driver then left.

The driver is described as white, with a stocky build. He had salt-and-pepper hair about collar length. He was between 40 and 45 years old and was wearing a green vest-type jacket.

VIRGINIA BEACH

On Dec. 6, about 2 a.m., a man entered the bedroom of a 22-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her. He then left through the front door.

The attack occurred in an apartment in the 200 block of S. Budding Ave. in the Woodshire Apartment Complex.

The suspect is described as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet tall and 165 pounds with a medium build. He had short black hair with some gray and a slight mustache. He was wearing a brown jacket and a brown and tan baseball cap.

In November and December three men stole movies from Video Express, Blockbuster and Movie Time stores throughout Virginia Beach.

The trio seemed most interested in Disney films but also have stolen films by other studios.

Usually, one of the men distracts employees while the other two hide movies in a shopping bag and flee.

The men are described as white and in their late 20s or early 30s. Two had moustaches and dark, shoulder-length hair and wore baseball caps. The third man was clean-shaven and wore a multicolored striped sweater.

PORTSMOUTH

About 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 20, a boy walked into the Unimart Store in the 4100 block of George Washington Highway and presented a demand note to the clerk.

The note stated that the boy had a gun and that he wanted money from the register.

After the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect went behind the corner, tilted a surveillance camera toward the ceiling and removed the cash from the register.

The suspect was last seen running westbound on Hanbury Street.

The suspect is described as black, about 12 to 14 years old, 4-feet-11 inches tall and 65 pounds. He was wearing a red, green and yellow jacket and faded blue jeans.

HAMPTON

Hampton Police are asking for help in solving a robbery.

On Dec. 13, sometime before 8 a.m., an intruder forced his way through a window and into the Fort Eustis Credit Union in the 5100 block of W. Mercury Blvd.

When the first employee arrived, the intruder confronted her. He was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded that she open a safe.

The robber is described as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark-colored ski mask over his face, dark-colored coveralls, black leather gloves and dark shoes. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
