Alice P. Baker, 73, of the 5200 block of Carolanne Drive, died in a Virginia Beach hospital on Dec. 23, 1995.
A homemaker, Mrs. Baker was born in Norfolk, and was a Baptist. She was the beloved wife of Elton E. Baker. Other survivors include her son, Richard L. Perry III of Chesapeake; three daughters, Carolyn Cayton and Frances Nagle, both of Virginia Beach, and Patty Bennett of Chesapeake; two sisters, Dorothy Bishop and Evelyn Sellew, both of Norfolk; a brother, Marshall Matthews of Yorktown, Va. Mrs. Baker also had seven grandchildren, Richard L. Perry IV, Curtis, Michael and Kevin Cayton, Debra Bosch, Teresa Link, and Gary Bennett Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren, Corey Cayton, Jennifer, Alicia and Bryan Bosch, Jamie and Katie Link, and Tyler Bennett.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Dr. Kelly J. Burris. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may join the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995, between 7 and 8:30 p.m. for visitation.
