James R. White, 73, died Dec. 23, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. White was a native of Norfolk, Va. He was the widower of Audrey P. White. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathleen White; three sons, James R. White, Jr. of Norfolk, Va., Russell T. White of St. Thomas, USVI, Christopher M. White of Norfolk, Va.; four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Kraft of Louisville, Ky., Margaret W. Bulifant of Breman, Ga., Miriam W. Sellers of Norfolk, Va., Adelaide W. Bishop of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Edward T. White of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A church service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. There will be a Christian Wake service on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk are handling the arrangements.
