Ada Lee Dill Marslender, 74, of the 300 block of Gallbush Road, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Marslender was born in Core Creek, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Samuel Frank and Sarah Bell Sabiston Dill. Mrs. Marslender had been employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She had retired in 1976 as a bookkeeper and secretary with the Educational Resource Center of the Chesapeake Public School System. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church since 1923 and was a member of the Ludie B. Williamson Bible Class. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Marslender of Chesapeake; two daughters, Jo Ann VanBerner of Lakeland, Fla., and Peggy Lee Caruso of Woodbine, Md.; a son, Robert A. Marslender III of North Hampstead, Md.; a sister, Nancy N. Castelloe of Chesapeake; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. W. Roberts McIvor. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Oak Grove United Methodist Church or to Comfort Care, Hospice Program.
