Larwence R. Beal, 91, died Dec. 23, 1995 in Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Va. He was born in Bloomington, Ill. and lived most of his life in Portsmouth.
Mr. Beal owned and operated a service station at the time of his retirement. He was an avid bowler in the Portsmouth area for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Donald L. Beal of Oak Ridge, N.C., Marvin L. Beal of Zuni, Va., and Bobby H. Beal of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Beal donated his body to science. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
