OLA A. ABBOTT

Ola Anderson Abbott, of the 6200 block of Sedgefield Drive, died Dec. 23, 1995, in a local hospital after a nine-year battle with cancer.

She was a native of Norfolk and a homemaker. She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church in Norfolk. Mrs. Abbott was predeceased by her parents, Jesse N. and Mary T. Anderson Sr.; her sister, Geneva Anderson Fletcher; and her brother, William C. Anderson.

Survivors include her devoted family; her husband, Francell M. Abbott; a son and daughter-in-law, Francell M. and Loretta Abbott Jr. of South Boston, Va.; a daughter, Karen Abbott Bethea of Norfolk; a sister, Essie Anderson Hackney of Norfolk; two brothers, Dr. Jesse N. Anderson Jr. of Virginia Beach and Rudolph C. Anderson of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Jonathan N. and Jason N. Bethea, both of Norfolk, and Francell M. Abbott III of South Boston; a beloved aunt, Lucille Anderson Franklin of Keysville, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church, on 7036 Chesapeake Blvd., by the Rev. C. Kirkland Harris. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at her home. Graves Funeral Home in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
