Alma Mangrum Thomas, 99, one of ten children of the late D.C. and Calie O'Bryan Mangrum, formerly of 1418 Braden Crescent, died Dec. 25, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
She was the wife of the late Norfolk police officer C.P. Thomas and was a native of Floyd, Va., in Patrick County. A member of Epworth United Methodist Church, she was a retired buyer of cosmetics for Rices and Ames & Brownley Department Store with 40 years of service. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Norfolk.
Survivors include one nephew, John C. Compton Jr. of Virginia Beach; and one niece, Sybil McClaugherty of Winter Park, Fla.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Blalock. Friends may call at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Thursday after noon.
