Henry McDowell Deaderick, 77, of the 500 block of Draper Drive, died Dec. 25, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Deaderick, a retired brickmason, was a native of Unaka Springs, Tenn. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelby D. Fryman of Norfolk and Louise M. Lavey of Chesapeake; three sons, Williams Clarkson Deaderick of Norfolk, Anthony Edwards Deaderick of Philadelphia, Pa., David Henry Deaderick of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Betty Clarkson Mason of Tennessee, June Shelby Mayo of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Shannon Marie Deaderick, Matthew Charles Fryman, and Angeline Marie Lavey. He was preceded in death by a son, Sam Caponi Deaderick.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
