Alana F. Palmer, 48, a Protestant, died peacefully at home on Dec. 22, 1995, with her devoted husband, Benjamin, at her side.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Mrs. Palmer joined the Navy and retired as an E6 Yeoman after 16 years of dedicated service to her country. Her last duty station was on board the USS John C. Stennis. The family moved to Watertown, N.Y., to be near her sister.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 1995, at the United Methodist Church of Union, N.J., Berry St. at Overlook Terrace, where she and Ben were married. In lieu of flowers and in appreciation of the respite care and support of the staff, the family requests donations be made in her name to, Hospice of Jefferson County, Inc., 425 Washington St., Watertown, N.Y., 13601, to continue assistance to terminally ill patients and their families.
