WILLARD R. WARD

Willard R. Ward, 68, of the 300 block of Wynn St., died Dec. 25, 1995.

He was a native of Nansemond County and was a former member of Little Grove Baptist Church, Huntersville. He was also a member of Community Presbyterian Church. Mr. Ward was a retired deputy EEO officer of Cinclant Fleet, a former science instructor for the Portsmouth Public School System, and an apprentice administrator for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the Eureka Club, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah M. Ward; three daughters, Gwendolyn Joyner, Sandra Duke and Wanda Ward; two sisters, Vera Boone and Marcella Bryan; two brothers, Henry Ward and Alphonso Ward; and five grandchildren, Cherie Ward, Tonita Joyner, Kimberly Joyner, Marvin Duke II, and Kristin Duke; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Community Presbyterian Church by Lay Minister Frances R. Paige. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home today from 6 to 7 p.m.
