Clay W. Hagy, 78, of the 1000 block of Independence Blvd., died Dec. 26, 1995.
He was a native of Abingdon, Va., and a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Masonic Lodge (NU)4, Khedive Temple in Richmond, and he was a former Virginia State Trooper in his early years of adult life. He was a retired businessman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Ruth B. Hagy; daughter, Linda H. Pope of Virginia Beach; son, James T. Hagy of Richmond; two sisters, Louise Starks and Irene White, both of Abingdon, Va.; two brothers, Ralph Hagy and J. Thomas Hagy, both of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Sarah Pope and Aaron Pope, both of Virginia Beach, and Christopher Hagy of Richmond.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Robert Regan in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Va. Memorial donations may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 308 Hanover St., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
