Robert Lee ``Big Rob'' McNeal Sr., 61, of the 2600 block of Ballentine Blvd., died Dec. 26, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. McNeal, a brakeman, worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 39 years. He was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie McNeal; four daughters, Neltresia Banks, Robin Gilbert, Roberta McNeal, and Cynthia Todd; three sons, Robert L. McNeal Jr., Roger McNeal and Benjamin Johnson; four sisters, Sandra Brown, Shirley James, Louise Hoskie, and Nagolia McNeal; six brothers, William McNeal, Clarence McNeal, Calvin Brown, Clifton Brown, Richard Brown, and Larry Brown; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The remains will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at noon for the procession to the church. Hale Funeral Home in charge.
