Mary Elizabeth Williams, 63, of the 5800 block of Oak Terrace Drive, died Dec. 27, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Williams, a native of Portsmouth, was a retired sales clerk from Kings Department Store. She was a former member of Great Hope Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles (NU)3204 Women's Auxillary.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Eugene Williams; four daughters, Marcia D. Hodgkins of Chesapeake, Grace T. Updyke of Fairfax, Va., Deborah L. Lyons of Norfolk, Mary Beth Blackman of Anaheim, Calif.; three sons, Larry Throneburg of Virginia Beach, John Throneburg of Chesapeake, and Arthur Throneburg of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Peggy Moots of Norfolk, and Dottie Moots of Chesapeake; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two stepdaughters, Kay Lynn Fraizer of Fayetteville, N.C., Terre Werts of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, by the Pastor John W. Godfrey. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. A Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxillary Service will be held at 7 p.m. today.
