Pansy S. Green, 79, of the 6500 block of Portsmouth Blvd., died Dec. 27, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Green, the widow of Dr. James L. Green Sr., was a native of Los Angeles, Calif. She was a retired registered nurse from Veterans Hospitals in Hampton and Tuskegee, Ala. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, and former member of Links Inc., Jack and Jills Inc., and auxiliary to the Norfolk Medical Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol G. Hancock of Portsmouth; two sons, Dr. James L. Green Jr. of Chicago and Darryl L. Green of Chesapeake; a sister, Eunice Belvins of Los Angeles; two granddaughters; three grandsons; and other relatives, friends, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. James Episcopal Church by the Rev. Jesse L. London. The body was cremated. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge of arrangements.
