EMERALD DALLAS BISHOP

Emerald Dallas Bishop, 57, of the 2100 block of Halifax Ave., died Dec. 27, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Bishop, a native of Asco, W.Va., was currently employed as a machinist at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 38. He was a member of Moose Lodge (NU)898, and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Treva A. Bishop; a daughter, Janet B. Lester of Weston, W.Va.; two sons, Oliver J. Bishop of Moyock, N.C., Jason P. Bishop of Portsmouth; three sisters, Eleanor Richardson of Sumerset, Ky., Shelia Mackey and Debbie Arnold, both of Reading, Ohio; four brothers, Cecil Bishop Jr. of Portsmouth, Arthur Bishop of Brookpark, Ohio, Robert Bishop of Norwood, Ohio, James Bishop of Lockhart, Texas; and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
