Shirley Harrell Brown, 74, of the 800 block of Morris Ford Road, died Dec. 28, 1995, in her home.
She was a nurse for Guardian Care Nursing Home, Ahoskie. She was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Smith of Morehead City, N.C., Arleen Sabiston, Beaufort, N.C.; son, Carroll ``Skip'' Brown of Colerain; two brothers, A. Conwell Harrell of Colerain, J.C. Harrell of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today by the Rev. Hines Adams in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
