Gussie Leah Deen, wife of Harvard F. Deen for 59 years, died at home on Dec. 28, 1995.
Mrs. Deen was a native of Mississippi, and had resided in Norfolk and Virginia Beach since 1954. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, and a loving mother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and his wife, Charles and Cheryl Deen, with whom she lived; a daughter, Dariene De-Ryder; two granddaughters, Jenifer Deen and Michele Bonsall; and one great-granddaughter, Brittany Bonsall.
Mrs. Deen will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to a favorite charity.
