Phyllis Baker Taylor Bretches, 75, of the 4400 block of Gannon Road, died Dec. 29, 1995, in Portsmouth.
She was a retired payroll clerk for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a native of Portsmouth. She was a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Miriam Chapter (NU)94.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert R. Bretches and also survived by several cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. James Thomas in Cottage Place, United Methodist Church. Burial is in Gatesville Cemetery, Gatesville, N.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to, the Cottage Place United Methodist Church, 442 Jamestown Ave., Portsmouth, Va. 23704. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is in charge.
