Ruth Rouse, of the 800 block of Whitaker Lane, died Dec. 29, 1995, in her home.
She was a native of Norfolk and a member of Way of Truth COGIC, Norfolk. She was a retired companion worker for Sentara Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Rouse; three daughters, Lisa Feaster of Norfolk, Nadine Rouse and Annette Wilson of Virginia Beach; son, Micheal Lee Rouse of Norfolk; six stepsons, Charles Rouse of Norfolk, Chester Rouse, Rufus Rouse, and Ricky Rouse, of Virginia Beach, Ronnie Rouse of Fayetteville, N.C., and Donnell Rouse of Culpepper, Va.; father, James T. Parker Sr. of Norfolk; three sisters, Sarah Brown, Martha Pope, and Elsie Short, all of Norfolk; brother, James T. Parker Jr. of Virginia Beach; five daughters-in-law, Janet Rouse of Chesapeake, Anna Rouse of Fayetteville, N.C., Cathy Rouse and Delphine Rouse, both of Virginia Beach, and a devoted daughter-in-law, Karnetta ``Connie'' Rouse of Norfolk; stepmother, Maggie Parker of Norfolk; son-in-law, John Wilson of Virginia Beach; and a host grandchildren and other relatives.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday by the Rev. Willie McNair in Way of Truth COGIC. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. The family will assemble at the residence.
