Jennie Ethel Hodge, 88, of the 100 block of Riverside Drive, died Dec. 31, 1995.
She was a native of Patrick Springs, Va., and was the widow of Thomas J. Hodge. She was a member of North Wilkesboro Church of God, North Wilkesboro, N.C.
Survivors include three daughters, Mattie M. George and Martha Hodge Sessoms of Portsmouth, and JoAnn Bidgood of Chesapeake; two sisters, Sally Larkin of Portsmouth and Allie Hodge of Martinsville, Va.; one brother, Raymond Mabe of Martinsville; three grandsons, William Charles George III, Ben Sessoms III and Thomas Charles Sessoms; and two grand-nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her son, Curtis L. Hodge.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Homer Peterson Jr. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
